Our reproduction brings that same scene back into view, complete with its original Camp Mackall title and caption.

Look closely and there’s more going on than a single photograph could capture. The original was assembled from multiple photographs, combining parachute drops, gliders, transport aircraft, and ground training into one sweeping composition. It’s a period photo montage, made decades before digital editing, with something new to notice each time you look.

The original in our shop measures approximately 42 × 10½ inches.
