      The 16th Military Police Brigade, established on May 20, 1966, at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, is the U.S. Army's only airborne-qualified military police brigade. It provides law enforcement and security support to the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg. The brigade has participated in various operations, including the Vietnam War, Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, Operation Just Cause in Panama, Operation Desert Storm, and the Global War on Terrorism.

      Currently, the 16th Military Police Brigade comprises several battalions and companies, including the 91st Military Police Battalion at Fort Drum, New York; the 385th Military Police Battalion at Fort Stewart, Georgia; the 503rd Military Police Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and the 716th Military Police Battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. These units provide a range of military police services, such as law enforcement, detainee operations, and support to combat operations, maintaining readiness to deploy worldwide in support of U.S. military objectives.
