At the Église Saint-Côme-et-Saint-Damien d’Angoville-au-Plain, in Carentan-les-Marais, the stained glass windows preserve one of the most humane stories of D-Day. Inside this small Normandy church, U.S. Army medics Robert E. Wright and Kenneth J. Moore of the 2nd Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division treated wounded American and German soldiers, as well as a civilian child, while fighting moved through the village. The church itself is especially fitting as a memorial site because it is dedicated to Saint Côme and Saint Damien, twin brothers remembered as physicians and martyrs.

The memorial glass is made up of five panels tied to the airborne story at Angoville-au-Plain. One panel, showing an eagle and the Statue of Liberty, is dedicated directly to Robert Wright and Kenneth Moore. A second panel, with parachuting soldiers, commemorates the D-Day jump into Angoville. A third panel, marked by the 101st Airborne Division patch, honors that division. A fourth, honors the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment with an image of their unit insignia. The fifth panel, featuring the Combat Medic Badge, broadens the tribute from Wright and Moore to the combat medics whose duty was to save lives under fire.

Production time is 5 business days BEFORE shipping. Business days are M-F 8am-4pm. Federal holidays when the USPS and or UPS is closed are not considered business days.

  • In stock, ready to ship
  • Backordered, shipping soon

  • Everything we sell is produced in house, on demand to ensure quality and production flexibility. Production time for most orders is 2-3 business days. We post current production time at the top of each page on our website.
  • Production and shipping times are sometimes longer during the holidays and other traditionally busy times (I.e., leading up to All-American Week). But the majority of our orders arrive within 7 business days.
  • SHIPPING TIMES ARE IN ADDITION TO PRODUCTION TIME. Selecting faster shipping will move your order through the delivery process faster, but it does not expedite the production process. While we offer several shipping options (standard USPS, Priority Mail, UPS Ground, etc.) once orders enter the mail stream via USPS/UPS, their transit time is out of our control. We will absolutely work with you to help track down a lost or long-delayed package and may, at our discretion, replace or refund a lost order.
  • If it's been more than 5 business days since you received your tracking information and have not yet received your package, feel free to contact us using the link in the order confirmation email. Please review the tracking information prior to contacting us as that is the same information we'll be reviewing- we don't have access to any deeper information than our customers do when it comes to tracking packages.
