Airborne Command Decal
1 review
During WWII, the Airborne Command shoulder sleeve insignia was officially worn from 1943 to 1947 as a training designator for troops assigned to parachute and glider schools, as well as early unassigned parachute infantry regiments like the 501st and 506th.
The patch was briefly reinstated in 1952 for select classified organizations, most notably being worn as a combat patch by World War II Office of Strategic Services (OSS) veterans and early operators within the newly formed 10th and 77th Special Forces Groups until they received their own distinctive unit heraldry.
