The Keys to Area J
Not since crusaders went on a quest for the Holy Grail has there been something more searched-for-but-never-found than the mythical Keys to Area J. While the "real" keys may never be found, Airborne Apparel Company has made available a replica of what scientists and historical scholars agree the Keys to Area J would have looked like.
Just as the Grail was portrayed as a simple wooden "cup of a carpenter", our Area J keys look like many motor pool and conex keys did; classic American Lock® keys attached to an orange or OD 12" aluminum tent stake with gutted 550.
NOTE: These are hand-assembled in our Michigan shop using surplus USGI stakes and keys. Because of this, there will be variations in the condition and color of the stakes. Most are orange, some are orange but painted OD, and a few are OD. Also, while our Area J Keys replicate the look and feel of what we believe to be the originals, they will not provide access to Area J, nor will they open any other training areas.
