L 21.5" 30"
XL 23.5" 31"

Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.

Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.

Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.

Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Our reproduction of the shirt worn by members of the 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment who deployed to the Middle East in March 1982 as the first United States member unit of the Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

Unit History & Information

The 1st Battalion, 505th Infantry deployed to the Sinai Peninsula in March 1982 as part of the Multinational Force and Observers. That assignment put the 82nd’s Paratroopers into an international peacekeeping mission during the Cold War. The First in the Sinai wording recalls this early rotation. The battalion returned to rapid-deployment duties and took part in Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada in October 1983.
