Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.
Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.
Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.
Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information
The 509th’s airborne heritage includes the U.S. Army’s first combat parachute assault, in North Africa on November 8, 1942. Its World War II service continued in Italy, including Anzio, in the invasion of southern France, and in the Ardennes. These operations are part of the regiment’s shared Geronimo history.
The 1st Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment later took on a distinct training mission. In 1993, it became the permanent opposing force at the Joint Readiness Training Center in Louisiana, helping prepare visiting Army units through force-on-force training.
