Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.

Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.

Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.

Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information

Activated at Camp Mackall in February 1943, the 11th Airborne Division combined parachute and glider infantry under Major General Joseph Swing. Its performance in the Knollwood Maneuvers helped establish the value of airborne operations on a divisional scale. After training in New Guinea, the Angels fought on Leyte in late 1944 and moved to Luzon in January 1945. Their campaign included the advance toward Manila and the February 23 raid at Los Baños, where American troops and Filipino guerrillas freed more than 2,100 Allied internees. The division later served in the occupation of Japan.
