Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.
Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.

Unit History & Information
The 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, remembered as the Triple Nickles, grew from a parachute company activated at Fort Benning in December 1943. Its Black officers and enlisted soldiers trained during a period of segregation in the Army, helping establish a place for Black soldiers in the airborne forces. The company expanded into a battalion at Camp Mackall in November 1944.
In 1945, the battalion served in the western United States under Operation Firefly. Its soldiers trained in smokejumping and bomb disposal, fought forest fires, and responded to the threat of Japanese balloon bombs. After the battalion was inactivated in December 1947, most of its personnel joined the 3rd Battalion, 505th Airborne Infantry, contributing to the integration of the 82nd Airborne Division.
