Unit History & Information

Company C, 2d Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), is represented by the Warhorse identity on this design. Its parent regiment developed from Task Force 160 at Fort Campbell, becoming the 160th Aviation Battalion in 1981, an aviation group in 1986, and a regiment in 1990. The Night Stalkers built their reputation around specialized aviation support to special operations forces, using modified helicopters and intensive training for missions by day and night.
