Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.

Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.

Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.

Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information

The 82nd Division organized at Camp Gordon, Georgia, in August 1917. With soldiers drawn from all 48 states, it adopted the All American nickname and the double-A insignia. After fighting in France during World War I, the division returned to active service in 1942 and became an airborne division that August. World War II service carried its paratroopers and glider troops through Sicily, Italy, Normandy, and the Netherlands. The familiar AA emblem therefore links the division’s original national identity with the airborne role it established during the Second World War.
