Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.
Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.
Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.
Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information
Detachment 531’s parent-unit heritage is represented by the 5th Psychological Operations Battalion. The battalion traces its lineage to the 5th Loudspeaker and Leaflet Company, constituted and activated at Fort Riley in March 1951. It became a psychological warfare company in 1961 and a psychological operations battalion in 1965.
Following later service under a group designation in the Army Reserve, the organization was redesignated as the 5th Psychological Operations Battalion in 2003 and activated at Fort Bragg on October 16, 2004. The 531 marking identifies the detachment-specific design within that broader history.
