Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.
Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.
Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.
Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information
Fort Benning’s airborne training history began with the Parachute Test Platoon in 1940. Two officers and 48 enlisted Soldiers were selected from more than 180 volunteers to test the new concept. Their jumps at Lawson Army Airfield helped establish the foundation for the Army’s parachute force. In 2015, Paratroopers returned to Lawson to mark the Airborne School’s 75th anniversary, linking the original experiment with generations who later earned their wings there.
