Lay the shirt flat on a level surface without stretching. Smooth out folds, then measure straight across from side seam to side seam, one inch below the armhole seams.
Measure body length from the high point of the shoulder beside the neck to the bottom hem.
Chest width is half the garment circumference. Doubling it gives the measurement around the garment, not a recommended body chest size.
Chest-width manufacturing tolerance: ±0.5 inch.

Unit History & Information
American forces intervened in Somalia in December 1992 as famine and civil war disrupted humanitarian relief. Engineers helped make that mission possible by repairing roads and bridges so food, supplies, and military vehicles could reach communities beyond the ports. Under the Unified Task Force, the 36th Engineer Group worked on main supply routes and a road network connecting the relief sectors, with major work beginning in January 1993. The Somalia Sapper design recalls the engineering work that supported movement and relief operations during that deployment.
